Macrosomia is defined as a birth weight of 4500g or greater or as a weight that is tover the 90th percentile for gestational age. Macrosomia is common in babies of diabetic mothers.
A missed abortion is a non-viable pregnancy where the embryo or fetus is not alive, but there are no obvious signs or symptoms of miscarriage yet. The pregnant woman may still feel pregnant, and may have no cramping or bleeding but in fact the embryo’s heart beat has stopped.
