Genetic Counsellor
Qualifications: Bachelor Applied Science (Diag Rad), Masters Genetic Counselling (University of Sydney), Membership of the Human Genetics Society of Australasia.
Mia is an experienced health practitioner, with academic and professional achievements in the areas of genetics and medical imaging. With a warm and empathetic nature, she provides personalised care and supportive counselling, along with a clear explanation of genetic results.
Having completed the Master of Genetic Counselling qualification from the University of Sydney, Mia is a Board Eligible member of the Human Genetics Society of Australasia, the Australasian Society of Genetic Counsellors and the Cancer Genetics special interest group.
Mia’s areas of specialisation include: cell-free DNA testing, genetic carrier screening, prenatal diagnosis and risk assessment for cancer predisposition syndromes.
