Dr Joyce Woo

Dr Joyce Woo is an Obstetrician Gynaecologist with a special interest in Obstetrical and Gynaecological ultrasound. She holds the Diploma in Diagnostic Ultrasound and has completed three years of sub-specialist training in Obstetrical and Gynaecological ultrasound. She has worked as an Ultrasound fellow in Nepean Hospital, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, The Royal Women’s Hospital and Ultrasound Care.

She holds membership with a number of professional associations including ISUOG, ASUM and RANZCOG. Joyce is an examiner for the Diploma of Diagnostic Ultrasound at ASUM and was nominated by ASUM for the NSW Volunteer of the Year Award in 2023. She is also actively involved in teaching medical students from Australian National University at the SAN Hospital. She has done research on cervical elastography, screening of the second trimester fetal heart using three-dimensional volume sweep and screening of cervical length using Pocket-sized Ultrasound Machine.

In recent years besides ultrasound, Joyce has also developed an interest in legal medicine and impairment assessment and is currently working towards becoming an accredited impairment assessor.

She is delighted to be part of the team at Ultrasound Care and committed to providing compassionate and comprehensive care to her patients.
