Dr Philippa Ramsay

Dr Philippa Ramsay is an obstetrician and gynaecologist who has sub-specialised in Obstetric and Gynaecological Ultrasound and Prenatal Diagnosis since 1990. She was the first person to complete a formal Certificate of Obstetric and Gynaecological ultrasound subspecialty training program in NSW and the second in Australia.
She has a Visting Medical Officer (VMO) appointment at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and is a Lecturer in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Sydney University. She is an examiner in Ultrasound for the Ultrasound sub-specialty of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
Dr Ramsay has written scientific papers and several book chapters on Obstetric and Gynaecological Ultrasound.
She is a member of the Australian Association of Obstetric and Gynaecological Ultrasonologists and the Australian Society of Psychology in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
Philippa is the founder of Ultrasound Care and San Ultrasound for Women and over the years has gathered other like-minded women into the practice as it has grown. Philippa is focusing on teaching obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Sydney medical school and mentoring Fellows in obstetric & gynaecological ultrasound for the College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
She believes in providing empathetic and professional care for women and girls of all ages.
